BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) — Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang on Monday held talks with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramatwinai.
Qin Gang pointed out that China will firmly adhere to the state’s core policy of opening up to the outside world, promoting high-quality development and shaping a new development architecture, which will open up new opportunities for China-Thai cooperation.
Qin Gang suggested maintaining high-level contacts between the two sides in order to raise mutual political trust to new heights, bring practical cooperation to a new level, and achieve new results in the field of humanitarian exchanges.
The two sides should jointly promote the deepening and implementation of the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative, implement the important outcomes of the Special Summit on the 30th Anniversary of Dialogue Relations between China and ASEAN, and make new progress in multilateral cooperation, Qin added.
Pointing out that the Thai side cherishes its relationship with China, D. Pramatvinai stressed that the country firmly adheres to the one China policy, supports the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative, and hopes that both sides will support exchanges at all levels and vigorously promote cooperation in various fields.
