The CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations and Germany’s Die Linke Party discussed Party and national developments, as well as measures to enhance ties. Both sides highlighted the importance of mutual understanding and collaboration to strengthen their partnership.
Nguyễn Xuân Thắng, Politburo member and President of the Hồ Chí Minh National Academy of Politics, emphasized Việt Nam’s commitment to its strategic partnership with Germany. He praised the outcomes of the fifth dialogue between the two parties and called for continued cooperation for democracy, social progress, and regional stability.
Die Linke Party Deputy Chairman Maximilian Schirmer expressed appreciation for the friendly relationship with the CPV. He underscored the significance of fostering mutual trust, deepening party relations, and contributing to Việt Nam-Germany strategic ties.
During the fifth dialogue, discussions covered party policy formulation, election processes, information dissemination, and youth affairs. Both parties acknowledged the dialogue’s role in strengthening the friendship and cooperation between them.
The German delegation also engaged with Vietnamese officials from various sectors, exploring socio-economic development, youth affairs, and cultural-heritage tourism. These exchanges aimed to boost bilateral cooperation in key areas of shared interest.
